Ok so here's the deal. I want to sing in a band. I'm not looking for superstardom or fame I'm more into the therapeutic release and outlet I get from singing. When I have a good or bad day that's my go to even if it's in my car or living room.
I've sang on occasion with a couple cover bands in the city that are friends of mine and of course I can rock the mic at a karaoke show and hosted my own in the past so I have a basic understanding of mixing sound (at least the vocals).
I sing mostly rock. I have grit in my voice and I definitely can belt it out eg. singing Led Zeppelin or The Doors but I also can be soft and sultry like Black Velvet by Alannah Myles.
I love all genres of music so I would be willing to try anything I just want to try.
If I could explain it like this:
I have a 3 year old son that I want to teach that anything is possible if you just try. I don't want to regret never having tried.
