I'm a big lover of goth, metal, and punk music and have been wanting to form a band for a few years now. I am specifically looking to begin a goth rock/darkwave /deathrock project, or to start and/or join a black metal project. I love black metal, especially Orthodox Black Metal (Dissection, Watain, Deathspell Omega, etc.) and would be very interested in playing this type of music.

Influences
Anything from the 80's!! Lol
The Cure, Bauhaus, Fields of the Nephilim, Rosegarden Funeral Party, Twin Tribes, Lebanon Hanover, The Sisters of Mercy, Horror Vacui, 45 Grave, This Cold Night, etc.
In terms of black metal, I think Dissection is my biggest influence with regards to how I imagine it sounding. Raw and traditional black metal with plenty of symphonic/melodic elements. I also have a life long love for Children of Bodom and would consider exploring a more classical extreme metal sound as well.
Plenty of other death and black metal bands are big influences namely Opeth, Norther, Insomnium, Dimmu Borgir, Old Man’s Child amongst others.

EQUIPMENT
A full size (88 key) portable keyboard with pedal. I don't have much experience with using synthesizers but it's something I'm looking to grow in knowledge of as I meet fellow musicians to jam with.
