We are looking for an accordion player who can play Irish (& some Scottish/ Cape Breton) dance music, i.e. jigs, reels, and polkas, as well as songs and slow airs. Either a button accordion player or a piano accordion player is fine. The central concern is to find someone who is comfortable playing more-or-less the full range of music that we play.

Influences
A wide range of influences from Irish and Scottish traditional bands as well as East Coast Cdn and some American traditional folk as well. I have done a lot of work orgnazind ceili dances and would like to get back to that but perhaps broaden the dance forms somewhat, and to broaden some of the musical offerings as well. That is, perhaps more couples dancing and slow songs from beyond the Celtic reportoire, but at the same time congruent with its spirit.
Members Of Band
We are 5 at the moment: 2 violins, 1 banjo, 1 whistle player, 1 guitar. I hope to add an accordion and perhaps a bodhran player who might branch out into a fuller percussion player as events unfold. We shall see.
