Hi Everyone, I have a wide range of musical tastes and am always looking to play a gig. I can play Rock, R & B, Country, Jazz on either bass or guitar and am generally available on short notice and am also available to travel. Presently I play bass and sing for My Dog Sam, a corporate party band that rehearses Tuesday evenings, I play guitar for a 3 piece jazz combo called The Jazz Cats, I have just accepted a position as the guitar player for Gateway big band starting September with rehearsals Monday evenings and plays a couple of gigs a year at The Yardbird Suite, I play lead guitar for Backpages a classic rock cover band out of Stony Plain who play a few gigs a year, I play guitar once a month for the Stony Plain Alliance Church for their Sunday morning service, I play bass and sing backup for Garry Claypool of the Faithful Slaves, a versatile country rock act that plays a few gigs a year and I play guitar and sing for Parkland Drive a rock band out of the Stony Plain area. Over the years I have played hundreds of gigs including corporate events, outdoor gigs, parties, weddings, bars, etc and have done some recording. I'm versatile and love playing music and meeting new people. I'm professional in every way from helping to set up and tear down equipment at the gig, to entertaining the audience and talking to clients; I make sure all of my equipment is functional, I dress appropriately for the gig, make sure to meet and say hi to as many audience members as possible and always show up on time ready to go.
