ABOUT

Started playing snare when I was 10 in a junior marching band then moved up to the senior band where I eventually played snare for 4 years. I had a kit in my late teens into early 20's but ended up selling it when things got tight. It wasn't until I was in my 40's that I got another kit and started playing again. I hooked up with a guitar player and we just jammed. Later we got together with a bass player and singer and did some good jamming which only lasted a number of months. When I moved back to Ontario I started playing at an open Mic at The Cove in Westport and have been doing that every wed for a year and a half now.

Influences

Where to begin, I grew up with a father who listened to 60's and 70's rock and a mother who listened to old country. Myself in the 80's I was listening to pretty much anything with a good beat. Biggest influences for me would be metallica, Rush, most hair bands of the 80's (Ratt, Cinderella, Dokken, Tesla) into grunge Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, STP, Foo Fighters to name a few. I have a good ear for music, not really good at reading music but love to learn new stuff.
