Raised in Wikwemikong, in April, 1971. I started playing guitar and making up songs when I was a teenager, I was finding it hard to find a voice I was comfortable with, so I sang alone a lot, till one day someone told me you have a good baritone voice similar to Johnny Cash, why don’t you become a tribute, so I thought about it, so I began singing his songs, it started out as jam sessions here and there, then I decided to form a band, and take it to the next level, and start a Johnny Cash Tribute band, it started off slow in the beginning, which was in 2005, shortly we began performing in local events, Now I sing mostly Johnny Cash songs, and some of my own originals, and exploring for my own sound, and I love to tribute Johnny Cash. Its an honor and a privilege to be doing Tribute shows to the MAN IN BLACK – Johnny Cash, his two Accompanying musicians Luther Perkins, and Marshall Grant, Created that great signature sound, boom chic boom, that identifies the MAN IN BLACK so much, is what inspired me to learn more guitar techniques, I also could identify with the Man In Black, but without the fame and fortune Johnny cash had. this path is slowly balancing it's self, and after each performance I do,It pales next to the joy my wife,children and family provide for me, and every tribute Show it all comes together, as I lose myself, in a performance as the Man In Black.
as most singer and writers, we all need to follow some influence of music, which ever that maybe, as time moves so do we to a point where we begin to spread are wings to create are own sound and music, from our choice of teachers whom influenced us! now thanks to those musicians that makes a world to listen to, I am now emerging to create my own thoughts and feelings to song for everyone to hear!
