I am a teacher who generally devotes a majority of my free time to writing and recording music on my *very* modest diy recording setup. I have been writing and recording my own music for 10 years. I create a lot but am very picky with regards to what sees the light of day. For the last few years I have been really working on developing my production and song writing skills and have been really happy with my output in the last year or so.
I am moving back to Saskatoon after being away for a few years and have lost most of my musical contacts. I am looking primarily for a song writing partner, someone who wants to write catchy and potentially funky pop/RnB/neosoul/psych with some jazz flair. Honestly my tastes and interests are really varied so genre be damned. Simply, I like working with samples, I like combining electronic and acoustic elements and I like syncopation. Someone who likes to write and can sing a good melody would be fantastic. Anything has to be better than my vocals.
I would love to produce backing tracks for live vocals, and maybe play some live accompaniment.
