Band to Join, Vocalist - Alto, Other, Drums, Bass Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Lead Guitar, Vocalist - Tenor.ABOUT
Hi, I've been playing guitar for about 6 years and singing for about 4. I did start singing 6 years ago, but I really sucked at the beginning :P.
I've had about 6 months of formal vocal training and am self taught on the guitar.
I can't read music very well, but I can stumble through with it. If you have things in tab for guitar it makes my life a hell of a lot easier.
Probably the hardest song I can play all the way through on guitar is "Babe I'm gonna leave you" by Led Zeppelin, I can play Master of puppets all the way through except that my solo is pretty weak on that song. Ummm...Any kind of finger picking I pick up like that **. Other than that, I'm a really fast learner and I love lots of different kinds of music.
Vocal wise, well...It's best explained by going here:

These two songs are my originals. Since this was a year ago, before I quit smoking, my voice is a little weaker in these recordings than it is now, and I've gained about half an octave above what I was at, there.
Unfortunately I don't/can't scream, and I don't like to growl much. Tends to tear me up and not allow for the higher notes later on in the set.

Influences
Too many to mention so I'll just name some major ones from different genres.
Tool, A perfect circle, Puscifer, Nirvana, System of a down, Stone Sour, Led zepplin, other various classic rock bands, I like a small amount of electronica like Daft Punk, Metalica (of course), Michael Buble, Richard Cheese, Yngwie Malmsteen, My Chemical Romance, A little Vigh and Stevie ray (not much, just musical style mostly), and a bunch of others that weren't at the top of my head when I made this list.
EQUIPMENT
Jay turser Electric guitar (basically a strat). Spanish Classical Acoustic Guitar. Couple Patch cords, Apex 950 (600 ohm) microphone, 80 watt Marshall Amp (should be able to be heard over most drum sets, not the greatest if we have to supply our own stuff at a venue though.)
