Middle aged guy, getting back into playing with a band. Currently practice every other week with a few guys. I've played guitar (Rhythm) for about 20 years, and played drums off and on during that time. Currently bought a KAT Percussion KT4 electric drum kit (https://www.katpercussion.com/kt4.html) and can be pretty adaptable to most genre's.
