THE MUSICIAN'S BIO (long and boring but comprehensive)
Corey Clark is an Honours graduate of Humber College’s Bachelor of Music program. He is a professional musician experienced in playing and teaching guitar, bass, piano, ukulele, percussion, and vocals.
Corey has over 10 years of experience in teaching students of all ages, accessibility needs, and experience levels. He is able to perform and teach multiple musical styles, including rock, jazz, blues, classical, electronica, pop, as well as film and videogame soundtracks, believing in a diverse approach to music learning and appreciation.
Corey works as a freelance musician in the GTA, playing in a variety of bands, as well as creating compositions and arrangements in Ableton Live and with miniature orchestras. He has 12 years of performance experience, including solo, live bands, recordings, music festivals, marching bands as well as private and corporate events.
Corey is also experienced as a producer, including involvement as a mix, recording, and editing engineer for both personal and commercially released projects. Corey works in a variety of Digital Audio Workstations, including ProTools Studio, Ableton Live 11 Suite, and FL Studio 20.
THE PERSONAL BIO (still pretty long)
I'm a musician first and foremost, it's my full profession. I do consider myself something of a lifelong learner however, in that I'm always broadening my horizons in a large field of subjects, including languages, coding, modding, cooking, and ample amounts of op ed reading. I'm admittedly very social media averse, as a musician I don't really keep up a meaningful gram or Facebook prescense, perhaps to a fault.
I'm primarily looking for creative music options. Right now, I'm a drummer and bass player in my bands (and keys at the recording studio), so I would enjoy potentially being a guitarist or pianist. The bands play mostly originals, and I'm open to that too, but playing session work, or covers, or anything really, is an enjoyable experience for me. I can read music quite well, and I can learn by ear extremely quickly: write down the music as I hear it levels of quick.
Looking forward to all inquiries. Hope to hear from you.
