Hey,
I’m a 35 year old male looking to play in a band that does covers or a mix of covers/originals. My goal is to have fun with the people I'm playing with and to enjoy the music.
I'm open to all sorts of genres, and I do enjoy taking on new challenges. I played in high school in jazz/band, and I've been in bands consistently throughout my adult life. I've done original work and been with cover bands.
I like the idea of being in a cover band more as I would be happier doing shows somewhat semi-regularly (1-2X per month?), and have a weekly practice.
I have young kids so I'm a bit limited in availability, but if I can make it work I will try my hardest and I will also be reliable on showing up when I say I will be there.

(Please keep in mind, this is home recording. Our drummer was amazing and did a great job with it, but it was not completed in a professional studio)

Influences
All sorts - I'll listen to most music ranging from heavy metal type stuff to lighter pop music. My favorite genre is rock, but I've spent a lot of time playing other styles of music.
Red hot chili peppers, rage against the machine, underoath, kings of Leon, Led Zeppelin, Spiritbox, Cloudkicker, God is an astronaut, Erra, arcade fire, the strokes, misery signals, primus - just a few off the top of my head.
I listen to a lot of blues and jazz stuff too, but from various artists. I also enjoy some of the top 40 type music on the radio.
