ABOUT

I am currently playing in two bands (in Vancouver); one original and one cover band.

The cover band is called The Slow Sippers. We're 3 vocalists, a keys player/singer, guitarist, drummer, a sax player and yours truly on bass). We have a set of soulful, retro-rock ‘n’ roll covers (including material by Sharon Jones, Neal Francis, Theo Katzman, Scary Pockets, Ray LaMontagne, Orgone) that we’re looking to expand on and play some shows.

The original project is Ripple Illusion. This is a fresh take on an old sound, combining groovy funk rock with rich harmonies. Mike Turner (keyboards in Slow Sippers) writes and sings the lead vocals in this band. We've recently recorded a few new songs at Monarch Studio in Vancouver and will be playing some shows throughout 2025.

EQUIPMENT

P-Bass (4 string)
Jazz Bass (4 string) fretless
Pedal board, mostly used for a tube-driven DI and a compressor but I do have some fuzz for the right occasions - and others, if needed.
300 watt partial tube head through a 2 x 12 cabinet = great tone.
