I'm a creative person who is rather proficient on the electric bass and upright bass. My electric bass playing is vastly influenced but I am always searching for what best fits a musical idea, but I do consider it my primary instrument. I am a good upright player too I just haven't played it as long as electric, but I've played lots of blues, rock, country, and lots of classical on it.
I can play guitar and piano well, I've taken the time over the years because I really love playing those instruments. My chops are up on all these instruments which lets me work creatively on them, not that you need great chops to work creatively I have seen technical prowess actually hinder people before. That being said I do not let it hinder me!
I'd like to mention that if you are a creative person with an ambition to make creative music that I don't care what your skill level is, that isn't important to me.
I write lots of lyrics and have great ideas for anyone interested in working together, I am saving up for a little portable multi-tracker but do not have one yet unfortunately.
I like a lot of different types of music and would like to really blur the lines of influence with whatever project comes up, and I think I fall into the tongue in cheek/dark humor with music sometimes, but I'm very serious and extremely passionate about creating new music. I am not at all opposed to joining up with someone who is interested in a specific genre! I like music/lyrics that is/are straight-forward, serious, fantastical, non-sense, funny, percussive, emotional close to the heart. Just nothing too sappy and nothing too generic please.
If this too long description is misleading or doesn't make a lot of sense( quite possible) please just email me to clear up anything you might be wondering, even little stuff I don't mind.

Moffatt Fiesta 200
Moffatt Fiesta 200 Year: 2012 Genre: Alternative
I recorded hastily without a microphone on my friends Mac onto GarageBand. I played the bass live off the floor at the computer as well as rhythm and lead guitar on a distorted Yamaha acoustic( just lying around at his house) Then there are electronic percussion added in afterwards. Look, the quality isn't great, and it does not flatter my ability haha, I was just trying to nail an idea down quickly and hastily and the guitar solo is an inside joke so take it as a big of a semi-creative offering that doesn't sound great. But I hope you like it!

White Stripes 6 String Medley
White Stripes 6 String Medley Year: 2013 Genre: Alternative
This is a guitar only medley I did as a tribute to The White Stripes, one of my favorite bands. It contains a little something from each one of their albums, some of my favorite songs by them. It's just one continuous take onto my laptop soundcard and the audio cuts out near the end a bit on the last two. Enjoy, from the heart. -Dylan
