Hi! I'm Yuhan Wei, a passionate vocalist and musical theater performer who has recently moved to Toronto. With a background in both musical theater and pop music, I bring a unique blend of theatrical performance and vocal versatility. I have performed in three original musicals in China and have developed a strong stage presence and vocal technique.
My musical style leans toward musical theater (with a love for songs like "Part of Your World" from The Little Mermaid) as well as pop music, especially artists like Adele and Chapplle Roan. While my experience has been in theater, I’m eager to expand into performing with a band. I’m adaptable, hardworking, and excited to collaborate with a talented group to create memorable performances.

Influences
Musical Theater: I’ve been greatly influenced by the storytelling and emotional depth of classic musical theater, especially Disney musicals like The Little Mermaid, as well as contemporary shows such as Hamilton?Miss Saigon and Wicked. The power of conveying emotion through song and connecting with an audience is something I deeply admire.
Pop Artists: I’m inspired by vocal powerhouses like Adele?Chapplle Roan and Ariana Grande, whose emotional delivery and technical skill have shaped my vocal approach. Their ability to blend soul with pop and convey raw emotion is something I strive for in my own performances.
Theater and Film Performers: I am also influenced by performers like Idina Menzel, Eva Noblezada, McKenzie Kurtz, Joy woods and Phillipa Soo who have shaped my understanding of vocal technique and stage presence in both theater and music.

I’m looking to collaborate with talented musicians who are passionate about creating engaging, high-energy performances. Ideally, I would love to work with a band that values musical versatility and creativity, and is open to blending genres like musical theater, pop, and classic hits. Whether it's guitarists, drummers, pianists, or other instrumentalists, I believe in the power of collaboration and creating a cohesive sound that connects with audiences.
In addition to my vocal abilities, I also have a background in composing and am eager to explore creating original songs with the band. I’m excited about the idea of working together with the group to develop new music that blends our individual styles and resonates with listeners.
I’m particularly interested in working with musicians who are not only skilled but also enjoy experimenting with different styles and arrangements. Together, I believe we can create an exciting and dynamic live performance experience.

Piano: I own a piano and can bring it for rehearsals or performances if needed.
Automatic Guitar (Liberlive): I have an automatic guitar (Liberlive) that I use for composition and practice.
Computer: I use a computer with recording and composing software such as Logic Pro X or Ableton Live for rehearsals, composing, and recording purposes.
Bluetooth Microphone: I own a Bluetooth microphone, though it’s not highly professional. It’s suitable for casual use and practice.
Accessories: I carry necessary accessories such as cables and adapters for rehearsals and performances.
