ABOUT

Howdy! So I'm recently starting to take my lifelong passion for singing more seriously, and I'm looking to become a professional vocalist. I don't necessarily need to tour and sell out stadiums, I'm Contempt in doing the digital format that's becoming more common these days - youtube videos/spotify etc. But I'm also not opposed to a traditional touring band either. I've got a deeper chest voice and can very comfortably sit in my mix voice. I can hit some surprisingly high notes with my head voice also, but need to work on my breath control in those upper positions. I have "mastered" healthy metal screaming using false cord vocals and can do them without wrecking myself. My biggest weak point is my lung capacity, being astmatic - but I've been working with my doctor to try and improve it and I'm stretching and strengthing my core to help provide an even more powerful boom than I already have.

Many of them. In no particular order as they pop into my head: Tool, Slipknot, As I Lay Dying, Protest The Hero, Geoff Castelucci, Johnny Cash, Disturbed, Killswitch Engage, Jinjer, Avenged Sevenfold, System of a Down, Breaking Benjamin, Foo Fighters, Shinedown, The Tragically Hip, The Offspring, Linkin Park, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Parkway Drive, Bring Me The Horizon, Karnivool

EQUIPMENT

Very little. A USB compressor mic with vocal isolation shield and computer to record on is about it so far. Ideally looking to hook up with a band that have some gear already as I'm rebuilding after some major life changes recently.
