My taste leans toward art rock (see influences, but I’m open to funk (Stevie Wonder), pop (Mother Mother) and roots (Ben Harper, Jason Isbell).
I love metal and hardcore (Sumac, YOB, Converge), avant garde/experimental/jazz (Ambrose Akinmusire, Medeski Martin & Wood), but my style isn’t well suited to those genres.
Not interested in pop-punk or classic rock (why does everyone my age want to play classic rock?).
Looking for a band that practices about once per week, wants to play for fun, but gig whenever possible.
My drumming in the attached vid is a tad sloppy with bad sound, but it will give you an idea of what I can do.
