Hoping to find an excuse to take my pedal steel out for a stroll.
Classically trained weirdo, I should really get out there and play more with actual people, ya know.
Mostly looking to jam with some regularity at this point, not terribly ambitious regarding gigs but who knows.
Did I mention I play pedal steel? I play pedal steel, btw.

Influences
Most "at home" with Americana/Country/Folk.
Sturgill Simpson, Tyler Childers, Steve Earle, Lucinda Williams, Angel Olsen, etc... and lots of pre-1980 country.
I like a ton of other music as well of course (background in composition, classically trained on piano but limited chops there- more interested in guitars at this point). A lot of it experimental. noisy and needlessly complicated.
But also "rock"/indie things, e.g. Shellac, Dino Jr, Minutemen, Jesus Lizard, Sonic Youth, Pere Ubu, that kind of stuff.
If you are receptive to the genius of Alan Vega/Suicide, we should definitely chat.

EQUIPMENT
Steel (GFI Expo S10, E9)

Vibrolux/verb reissue
and other things (pedals and shit)
Despite what the "instrument experience" rubric says, I'm probably most reliable on six-string and piano. Can also do basic bass duties but I don't currently have a rig for that.
