Hi Park is a "good vibes only" band. That means we don't do break up, or angry, songs. Our objective is to make the audience smile. We like fun lyrics. We like slamming rhythms and vocal harmonies. We like the occasional fancy chord and time signature change..."smart pop" kind of thing. Roughly half covers, half originals.
As of fall 2024 the band has 5 members and what it really needs is a high harmony and/or the ability the play dynamic leads on an instrument - preferably not a guitar.
The act is the primary performance vehicle of Jason Pilling, who is easy to find on I-gram. Jason organizes the band and is the primary writer of the original songs. Jason has an active, and prolific solo project, but this is mostly separate (some Jason solo songs work for Das Book). The point is this band is "not all about Jason"...it's for collaboration.
The band is a right fit for someone who wants to be on a team aiming to make high quality live music for its own sake. If you write music that fits the vibe, maybe we'll adopt your song? It is often said that a band needs 2 of 3: good hang, good music, good money. Das Book is about the hang and the music, not the money.
