ABOUT

Experienced player looking for an experienced bassist and metal , prog style drummer(male or female)
A female vocalist/instrumentalist would be a nice addition. Preferably soprano with some growls as well.
I'm currently writing songs with a good musician friend of mine. We have about 2 albums worth of originals and hundreds of riffs waiting to turn into more songs. The project is sort of prog/doom metal... very dark , psychedelic and eclectic. My playing can be summed up as a combination of Hetfield , Iommi , Dimebag, Mikael akerfeldt and Robert Smith of The Cure....with hints of other odd styles in the mix. I think I'm a very unique player and that adds a lot of interesting parts to our songs. I have a pretty eclectic taste from neoclassical, thrash, black metal, goth, folk, new wave etc. However , I play from the heart first and don't get caught up in which style I belong to like its a religion.I play what feels right regardless of the style. I'm an easy going guy who takes good care of himself , very kind, with a dark sense of humor and taste. Ideally I'm looking for band members that want to rehearse live in person and aren't looking to just make music over a computer. That isn't fun and doesn't capture the spirit and essence of a band or musicianship in my opinion.

Influences

I always enjoyed guitar music but my first memory of being absolutely jaw dropping shocked , was when I first stumbled on the music video for One by Metallica at age 14 while flipping channels one morning. I couldn't believe this kind of music existed and was upset that nobody ever told me about it or played it on popular radio. That was sort of a life changing moment for me, and I had a realization that there must be so much more information lost in obscurity, and whats readily available to us via popular culture is only what's fed to us as a means of dulling our minds. From then on I have been on a personal artistic vision quest of sorts ,and have delved deeper into all forms of heavier and obscure music, movies ,philosophy and the occult
(only as a form of interest, not as a practioner)

Favorite bands lately are Mayhem , septic Flesh , on thorns I lay ,Candlemass, Asagraum , Type o negative , Funeral (from norway) , Opeth... many others I can't even think of all of them.
