Thought I would give this a try - vocalist with intermediate level guitar playing. Would like to join a band that likes to play the same music I like playing. Low on technical knowledge, rely on my ear to decide what works and what doesn't. Can sing almost anything but in the interest of keeping my voice intact I avoid going beyond what I can handle. My feeling is if you want me to audition, consider me a vocalist first with some guitar skills to fill in with rhythm or the occasional lead. And there are no hard feelings if the word is " Sorry, not what we're looking for ". Also, my commitment level will go up if the band is similarly committed.

Influences
The list is long but if I had to pick a few it would be Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and pretty much any band from that period that was influenced by American Blues and made their own heavier versions of that style. The music of my youth is my favourite to play but that doesn't mean I'm not willing to play other styles - I started playing later in life so the journey is still quite young.

EQUIPMENT
Lots of amps and Les Paul style guitars, I have a few oddballs as well. My amps are mostly tube amps such as Ampeg, Traynor, Garnet, Vox, Orange and more. I am a plug straight into the amp and try to mate the guitar to the amp for best tone kinda guy. I do have some pedals/effects but only use them for specific reasons
