I've been diligently learning cover tunes from bands that I'd like to do in a potential cover band, I'm 49, played drums for years, but due to an automobile accident, I've switched to bass as it doesn't involve the same manner of mobility, but no fear, I can still move well, and have taken to bass quite nicely, I am retired and practice about 3 hours a day.
