FREE VOCALS FOR RECORDING!
Hi there,
I am an experienced working vocalist who is looking for serious musicians to work with to record and play gigs. I have an excellent ear, and read music as well. I'm offering my vocals for free for the next few months for use on any professional recordings for backup, main, or whatever you might need. I'm flexible, in terms of style, but tend to stay away from any kind of screaming as it takes my throat a while to recover :) I'm currently working around Saskatoon performing Jazz with a group that ranges from duo to quintet and want to try something a little different for myself to try and branch out into other styles this year.
I have helped some local DJ / Producers with vocals for a few of their tracks and am looking to get my voice on as many professional recordings as I can this year and see where it goes. I am also available to perform live on occasion as requested.

Influences
I like a lot of electronic & chill, lounge, down tempo music like Massive Attack, Theivery Corporation, Sia, Zero 7, Bat For Lashes, Goldfrapp, and some more traditional Jazz Divas like Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, But that's just what I like to hear, and would like it if anyone wants to make some of that kind of music to dial me up for sure!!! I'm pretty sure that I can sing just about anything. For example, I have lent vocals to projects that have had me sing a Peaches song live at an outdoor music festival, and then an Ingrid Michaelson Song for a charitable event at the Braodway Theatre, recently I recorded vocals for a Bat For Lashes Trance cover song... so really, I'm up for almost anything!
EQUIPMENT
Vocals, I have 2 good vocal mics that I use to perform with. I can play some minimal/rythm & simple keys as well and have a keyboard.
