ABOUT
Jason Kirkness has been a regular at venues across Western Canada fronting his classic rock cover band, Tangerine Taxi, where he has earned his stripes and perfected his chops as a touring musician. This band toured extensively from 2002 until 2006, with stops in Western Canada and several trips to the Northwest Territories and the States. Now out on his own, with no strings attached, be prepared for some dancefloor shaking, boot stomping, modern country.
In his teen years he took up the guitar and began to fall in love with the entire Led Zeppelin catalogue as well as the more modern/retro Black Crowes. He was particularly impressed with the poetry in the music of Bob Dylan and Paul Simon. More recently he has been finding inspiration in the new Nashville sounds of Keith Urban and Big & Rich. Jason has began preparation for an new album combining these influences with several of Manitoba’s top songwriters and some of his own creativity.
Country Music.
Jason Kirkness is available throughout 2010 with his band to perform at venues anywhere in Canada. No venue is too big or too small. The band tours with full production including sound, lights and sequencing.
