if it emits sound waves, I'll listen :)
but in reality, I learned '70's metal (sabbath, zeppelin, quicksilver, etc, elp, genesis, pink floyd, blah blah blah) but now really just play whatever needs to be played. I have also played in some bands that have had nothing but originals - I love improvisation and jamming; I am not tied to any style, since I have my own.

EQUIPMENT
Lado bass (the only bass I will ever own - there is no better) but it's an old bugger and seen it's better days.
Couple of little practice amps for camping and destroying (they are tougher to destroy than you'd think!) 400W traynor bass amp.
