ABOUT
I am a singer/songwriter from Alberta, and have been singing and playing violin with my father (Ben Crane) all over Western Canada for the past 21 years. I am 27 years old, and I am looking for work in the area of session work. Violin/viola and singing (melody and harmonies) are my most prominent instruments, but I also have experience playing acoustic guitar (rhythm and fingerpicking), cello, as well as basic knowledge of ukulele and piano. My most comfortable genres are indie/americana, folk/acoustic, and contemporary worship, but I also have a little bit of experience with jazz and celtic.
I have always struggled with reading notes, because I excel at playing by ear, therefore I was always able to get the same result a lot faster just by listening to it and emulating it. I have developed my ear to be able to figure out and play anything I hear, and I strive to always pour my whole heart and soul into everything I play, bringing out the full extent of the emotion that the song needs.
