Two projects in mind, one to start and another that would require MANY different folks over time.
To start....something along the lines of Kyuss but a touch harder or softer here and there. Kyuss meets Motorhead maybe? Two vocalists as I've always been a fan of two lead singers. Gender doesn't matter...contrast and attitude does.
The second is more Conceptual and would involve a larger group or collaboration.
Now on to the boring stuff.
40 years drumming(since VH 1984 and Dire Straights Brothers In Arms). My entry into music included Kiss, Bon Jovi and the above mentioned bands. 7 Years Jr High/High School band/wind ensemble percussion plus extra curricular to grab some easy grad points. Spent a minute in the early 90s Hip Hop scene which really helped my inner metronome. Flirted with grunge a bit but found it a bit too tame for my taste, though I stuck with Soundgarden and Alice In Chains. Chris Cornell and Jerry Cantrell have been mainstays in my influence to this day. Moved on to So Cal Punk in the mid 90s and have primarily stayed, with wanderings towards System of a Down, Tool, Floyd and Rush over to Propagandhi and some and other more progressive bands in their genre. Southern Rock really appeals as well. It's hard to nail down.
I guess the best way to put it would be Pink Floyd meets Skynyrd meets Pantera meets NoFX meets Propagandhi meets System of a Down. Plus, Country(but only if it's actual old school Country/Blues), not the current overproduced nonsense.
Weird.
Anyways...I'm technologically adept. I can receive/record remotely. Can mix and produce. Can currently record onsight(all but drums...I know...I'm a drummer....but that shit takes space atm).
Somewhat versed in theory(Arrangement and Rhythm, not notes n modes n other stuff) but prefer to be guided by feel and what a piece requires.

Cue the F*ckin Drumtage
Cue the F*ckin Drumtage Year: 2000 Genre: Rock
Strictly a drum montage, though I dabble in Bass, Rhythm guitar and Vox(Not within this example...just drums). Mind the mix and missed kick Triggers now and then(Triggers were unreliable then and I was new to production. I had nothing to do with it. I tried to fix it as best I could, but the DATs are now DUSt so I was restricted to this shoddy attempt at recording). All examples were one take, 3 on the floor(as apparent a few times) due to our lack of funds. I categorized this as "Rock" but our influence came primarily from Descendents and ALL. So it was a toss up between Rock and Punk.
