I'm a 55 yr old married father of 2 boys (8 & 10 yrs) living in Rockwood (Btw Guelph & Acton) and work in the Insurance industry Mon-Fri in Mississauga. I'm a self taught electric bass player (finger style) who learns & plays by ear only. I just recently left an all-original 6 piece roots/folk/rock-pop band and am now looking to play cover popular songs people want to hear or potentially dance to (As the reality is that very few people want to hear originals from middle aged performers). I'm initially just looking for a group of similarly minded mature players (30++ yrs of age), living within an hours drive, looking to play for fun 2-4 days a month. Playing live gigs may or may not become a part of it. Not interested in Christian faith church bands, heavy metal, rap, or Southern US Country. Alt-Country Roots/Folk Americana however in contrast is some of my favourite. I'd also prefer not to play with really outspoken "right-wing extreme MEGA" supporting individuals.
