I’ve started an original/cover band and we are currently looking for a drummer. I am a versatile singer-songwriter who has partnered up with a guitarist and bassist and we’re looking for our missing link. We are eclectic and have started working on a set list that includes artists like Tom Petty, Ray Charles, Extreme and Foo Fighters (to name a few).
We are looking for the following assets:
- Able to commit to a bi-weekly practice schedule, ideally on Sundays (unless life gets in the way and we need to cancel/reschedule)
- Able to “freestyle” beats and adapt to writings songs and changing directions on the fly
- Able to commit to preparing for practice to accelerate proficiency
- High-energy performer that engages an audience on stage
- Looking to do a few gigs a year (quality over quantity)
- Collaborative, easy going and respectful in a band environment, leaving the ego at the door
- Nice-to-have: can play various percussion instruments (I.e. djembe, tambourine)
