I am 51, and want to play in a band again. Its been many years since I've played in one, and I miss it. I am a Rhythm guitar player, I can hold my own, and want to have some fun. I am willing to gig, but, just playing music in the basement is fine by me as well. Since its been quite a while since I've played in a band, I wouldn't mind a cover band either. Originals or a mix of covers and originals is also good!
Also, I can play Bass .. not my 1st choice, but I can hold my own. I have an Ibanez Bass .. Galloen Krugger head with GK cab..
A little more .. I am a graduate of Trebas Institute of Recording Arts, majoring in Sound Engineering. I also took music management and production, Music Business Management and Film & Television Production.
But, when it all boils down to it, all I wanna do is play some music, mabee play some gigs! If you want a metal rythm guitar player or a metal bass player, and you are in Calgary, let me know!!

Influences
I am influences mainly by 80's metal acts. My main influence is Motley Crue, also Slayer, Megadeath, AC/DC, Testament, Metal Church, Anthrax, Motorhead, Metalica (prior to the Black Album), Iron Maiden, Helix, Ministry, Birthday Massacre and much more.
EQUIPMENT
I use an Ibanez Destroyer, an Ibanez GRG150DXPW and LTD MAX200SW along with 2 Marshall JMD1 heads and 2 Marshall 2x12 cabs, with a GSP21 Legend for effects!. Also, I use a custom BC Rich Warlock for drop D.
In my jam room is my guitar stuff, including my bass rig and 6 piece pearl drum kit, and an additional Marshall single 4x12 cab and Marshall mx amp .. yup, I have it all!! Also ...
... enough gear to do a fair sized live concert, Mackie board effects, mics, stands, snake and all .. including light show! Just need to rent proper self powered speakers to suit the venue!!
Also, I have my own small recording system, Its the Yamaha DSP Factory, a computer 48 track recording studio. I am still learning how to use it ..
