ABOUT

Having been born and raised on a farm in Central Saskatchewan, I was influenced by my father, aunt and local musicians with Country / Bluegrass. As a result I fell in love with learning to play the guitar on my own, at a very early age, with the help of music lessons.

As I grew up into my late twenties, I tried to play the violin, taking up and learning to play the mandolin to learn the finger patterns. I also picked up and attempted to learn to play the banjo. I have also learned to play the harmonica.

I played the guitar regular untio my late twenties when due to health reason, my playing was irregular. During this time I joined a church where I began to learn vocals by participating in the choir. During the remaining years I was much influence by Bill Gaither, & Southern Country Gospel

Around 5 years ago I picked up my mandolin and began playing in church worship services, backing up hymn songs as I still do today. For the past few years I have learned to play both harmony and melody parts of over a dozen popular hymns and enjoy listening daily to Bluegrass Gospel and Folk music on Internet Radio.

I'm looking for a group of musicians who are interested in forming a Sounthern Country / Bluegrass gospel Quartet and jammin' or performing at seniors residence
