Influences
My father introduced me to Classical and Opera. My mother, Juke Box Hits, My brother, rap and hip hop. I chose Alternative and Rock myself in early high school (child of the 90’s.) today I listen to anything Motown, Funk, Soul, Raggae and some modern hipster hair my friends have thrown at me over the years. Some of my favourite artists to sing would be Bill Withers, Amy Winehouse, Aretha Franklin, Alicia Keys, The Supremes, The Temptations, Erykah Badu, Lauren Hill, Whitney Houston, Sinead O’Connor, Florence and the Machine, Beyoncé (Lemonade only).... you get the picture. I don’t read music but don’t fret, I learn quickly from hearing the original. If you can play it we’ll kill it.
