ABOUT

My best friend passed away in 2019 and in 2020 I decided that I needed to do something with music. A Long story very short.

(Luvya) (the band name) is in the middle stages of recording singles for an album
“Detective Bergeron”. So,

It’s 1978 and Detective Bergeron, a rookie detective is disturbed one night driving home, by something that changes her life forever. She witnesses a UFO crash, and tries to investigate. Behind a barn on the side of the road, she squeals to a halt in her VW beetle. She inches close to the site, when she see’s... an alien.

The whole album kind of ensues from there. Following her from song to song, telling her story. From her discovery of the night in question in “Detective Bergeron” to her collecting of information from various sources that have claimed to have encountered similar things in, “Sweet Talkin’ Woman.” To her trying to find her footing, after her colleagues and friends start to alienate her for what she claims to have seen in the slow churning instrumental “It Came From Above.”

The music is more to me, a soundtrack to a story, pieced together in parts. Think 1970’s cop movies, old cars, grimy street corners, the determination etc.

I am in the process of recording the 3rd song. None of which are released yet, but will be by the end of May.

If you are at all interested, I really need a drummer, a bass player, a rhythm guitar player and a back up vocalist, preferably with a soft, soulful voice. I would be doing main vocals and lead stuff.

This is mainly because I am wanting to film and record a couple of the songs for a live session that I can promote this summer online. So nothing so long term, just enough to do that and if we have the opportunity, play somewhere this summer. So,
