From the ashes of Toronto band Die Driving (HTZ FM Rocksearch Finalists, awarded Best Hard Rock indie band in Toronto, opened for Three Days Grace and Thornley among others) arose this project containing 2 original members. Mike and Robby continued their musical chemistry to create Mark My Words. A band rooted in respect, integrity and positive energy.

Mark My Words have written several compositions. Mostly in the direction of raw, driving, aggressive and ballzy music, emphasizing on rhythm while not ignoring melodies and harmonies. We have self-produced these tracks and once our roster is complete, our plan is to continue to write as a full band. Once our set is finalized we intend to mix and master them professionally. We are looking for an experienced singer/frontman to take this project to the next level. We're looking for aggressive masculine singer (not a screamer, a singer). Our favourite frontmen include: Ian Thornley (Thornley), Phil Anselmo (Pantera), Brandon Boyd (Incubus), Rob Flynn (Machine Head), Tim Williams (Vision of Disorder), Chris Cornell (Soundgarden), Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters), Chino Moreno (Deftones). The best process we can think of for auditioning singers is have them listen to the tracks posted and to come up with vocal parts/melodies. Lyrics are not manadatory at this stage. And remember, hooks matter!!
