My name is Max Bornstein and I've been playing drums for 15+ years. I'm looking to play drums for artists/bands in a live setting, recording setting, and everything in between. I can sing background vocals as well. Have toured extensively in Canada and the United States with my band Goodbye Honolulu. We've toured alongside or opened for Hinds, The Beaches, Kate Nash, Luna Li, Miya Folick, The Regrettes, The Interrupters, Sebadoh, Limblifter, among others. I've also played drums for several other artists including Missy Bauman, Rebekah Hawker, and Cmagic5 just to name a few.

My main influences on drums are Eric Singer (Kiss/Black Sabbath/Alice Cooper), Travis Barker (Blink 182), Chuck Comeau (Simple Plan), Eric Hernandez (Bruno Mars), Nate Morton (drummer for the TV show The Voice), among others.

EQUIPMENT

1971 Ludwig drums, 14" snare, 13" tom, 16" floor tom, 22" base drum. I also own the Questlove Breakbeats kit for car trips where the vehicle is packed. Zildjian cymbals/sticks, Remo drumheads, Pearl hardware. I have a Roland SPD-SX as well so can upload any samples needed for a project. I have experience playing along to tracks live as well.
