For sax: Dark tones, like Paul Desmond, Kamasi Washington, or bright tones, like Sonny Stitt or Jess Gillam.
For Voice: enjoy singing with tones similar to listened music, such as Peach Pit, Bowie, or The Main Squeeze, a year of classical tenor, both solo and choral.
For Bass: self-taught at first, with influences from a year of minoring in classical guitar. Favourite tones come from bassists such as Thundercat, Bootsy Collins, or Bernard Edwards.
