Known by my stage name Melotika, I'm an independent Canadian solo artist, singer-songwriter, performer, sound designer, co-producer and executive producer. Born and raised in the Montreal region, I moved to Toronto in 2015 to become a recording artist and songwriter, despite having little formal musical experience other than the passion for song writing. In 2014 I attended Recording Arts Canada and obtained an A.E.C diploma in sound and music production.

I've been collaborating with different producers since 2016 and creating a new genre that I now call New-Retro Pop while mainly exploring Dance Pop, Electropop and Synth-Pop. I've collaborated on more Rock/Alt based projects as well along with Rap and HipHop. I've been known for having a distinctive lower register (Alto/Mezzo-soprano).

My goal is to begin a new project as a singer and songwriter. Joining a band has been a dream of mine. I am open to genres such as Rock, Alternative, Trip-Hop and Synth Rock.

All of that being said... lets make Art Rock!

Influences

My influences for beginning a new project and exploring a new genre are: Metric, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Portishead, Silversun Pickups, Radiohead and STYX.

I'd love to explore something "indie" but also something very progressive at the same time which would allow me to write more introspective lyrics and experiment with my voice. I'm down for a band that allows the bass to stick out, cool synths, crazy drums and interesting guitar playing.

My influences for singing are: Emily Haines (Metric), Lady Gaga, Maynard James Keenan (Tool), Amy Lee (Evanescence), Madonna, Cher, Annie Lennox, Tracy Thorne, pretty much anything Retro!
