I'm looking to start an alt folk/bluegrass/country/whatever happens, happens band....I own guitars (acoustic and electric), a mandolin, banjo and a fiddle, although the fiddle is quite new to me so I wouldn't consider myself a true fiddler (yet...). I also have the oh so important washboard, so don't worry, that's covered....Do you own and play a stand-up bass? If so, let's be friends...
I sing a little, but would probably be better suited as a background vocalist. I do enjoy writing lyrics though. I used to play in metal bands (quite the opposite, I know) so lyrically I tend to write darker stuff. But hey, who wouldn't want to hear an upbeat bluegrass song about the devil, right?
I'm in the process of recording some rough tracks with just guitar and mandolin, but unfortunately I don't have much yet. If you'd like to hear something, let me know and I'll get something together a.s.a.p.
