Hello! I am searching for a musician to work with in a duo. I have many years singing in cover bands, trios, classic jazz, singing with orchestras, and, recently, fronting a jazz band out here in the Valley.
I will be moving into N. Van this summer. I come into the city on weekends right now.
On the marketable side of things, I have terrific stage presence and I am great eye candy. I know how to dress for a gig.
My voice is classified as 'spinto soprano' which means I can sing comfortably quite high with warmth, and I can also bring the voice down in range, into a chest register, and not lose quality.
This allows me to sing a wide range of music.
I am comfortable in styles ranging from Opera to country, and lots in between, my favourite being the crooner songs and a good deal of 60s music.
I teach voice from a studio in my home.
