Hi, I began playing music by ear when I came home from church one day at two years old, and played the songs with one finger. (my Mother's story) I am very family oriented, and we used to sing folk, country, blues like Elvis, pretty much anything from the 50 up until the 70's. I have a strong background in classical music performance and study, have taught, and have played piano in both a band and at many Open Stages. I want to rebuild my strong sense of rhythm by playing in a drumming band, of any sort, create something unique. I am a very spontaneous, yet "creating a world of my own" type of musician who loves to relate to the public and have fun. I am responsible, I work hard when I have a project to do, and I work well with others especially when they share ideas with me openly and are willing to try new things.
My main instruments are piano and drums, but I have played many others. I want to eventually either get a job with the TTC or join a band and travel throughout Canada. But playing here is just as great for me. Just playing makes me happy and sharing the musical experience!
My favourite bands: Peter Gabriel, Genesis, Rush, Amanda Marshall, Michael Jackson, any African type music, 80's rock, Depeche Mode and other British bands, The Beatles and much more!
I hope to play with string players as well.
