I am Mike . I currently play in a band called the Dawg Bros. . We have a blast . No egos just great musicians . We play exclusively at a little bar I own . We only play Friday nights . I am forming an additional house band for Saturday nights for this summer and beyond. The market we play to is over 30 so classic rock with jump and funk to it works pretty darn good . I own the bar so we have a wide berth as to selection . . We treat all incoming musicians like royalty. Because they are to me .

Influences
I like rock , country and blues . But it has to swing and have drive . I like to pull pull the rythem up . Like a funky little reggae sort of grove but most audiences wouldnt know the difference . It just gives a song the back beat and pocket space that adds a lot to the way I personally like it. As a bar owner/ player/ entertainer , on stage I tend to communicate to the audience constantly which give the room a show type environment. We just wing it and have a riot. Never the same vibe twice . Naturally you fall into a comfort zone regarding song choices but we try not to be predictable. . We have two stages . Nothing big mind you . However ,one inside and the other outside on a small stage in a patio / tiki bar type venue. which for me in the summer is a very cool room to play ..

EQUIPMENT
I have full house sound and lights plus drums , extra guitars , amps, mics and keyboard not bad stuff . It's plug and play no hauling . No judgement ,players know pretty much right away if they have something special,or not!
I welcome any ideas you may have to improve our live music tradition.
