ABOUT

Looking for good people who are willing to put in the work to develop a good original project. I’ve played guitar in indie rock bands and bass in alt/outlaw country bands, but open to any style with the potential to be played well. Played with one group for two decades (and some big shows). I prefer writing/collaborating on originals but also like playing covers as long as the band makes songs their own. I have my own space and equipment for a full band, with recording setup. Must be comfortable with dogs if using my space. I have no business being in front of a mic.
I would prefer to develop a good sound and a strategic focus on getting good gigs, but will grind it out in small venues as long as progress is made. I’m NOT keen on maintaining a 4-hour catalog of covers at the expense of writing and developing originals, nor managing egos. I’d prefer to play with developing talent than insufferable virtuosos. I’m well established with a career and mostly in it for a fun, supportive, and creative environment. But, not opposed to putting in extra effort, time, travel and commitment if good opportunities come along.

Influences

I grew up listening to BB King, the Beatles, and other classics. I went through a metal phase (e.g. Meshuggah, Sepultura, Pantera, etc and still appreciate the genre). I was also lucky enough to come of age in the 90’s listening to the Seattle grunge scene. I’m not one for cliche pop, but I like any genre played well with a creative bent.
