I am an experienced singer/songwriter/musician/pianist/keyboardist. I have been playing piano since I was 5 yrs old. I began writing songs around the age of 12 or 13 and I have performed in different venues; stage(pit orchestras), various band ensembles(Dixieland, Jazz, Rock, Solo Lounge Pianist, Marching Band, Stage Band, Concert Band, Studio Player, Acoustic, etc). I have worked closely for many years with the Kinsmen & Kinette Clubs of Canada and the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation on musical projects and various telethons in order to raise money and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis... I am also well-trained as a musician. I hold an Honours Bachelor of Fine Arts in Honours Applied Music from York University. I am very versatile and enjoy performing many different genres of music such as Pop, Rock, Folk, Alternative, Jazz, Classical, 80's Synth, Country....... I pretty much enjoy all styles of music as long as it is performed well.

Influences
My influences range from Frank Sinatra to Herbie Hancock... all the way over to Peter Gabriel and The Beatles... and in between you'll find that I have experienced Bach, Brahms and Beethoven. Vincent Guaraldi is one of my favourite Jazz artists and composers along with Dave Brubeck . Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and Stompin' Tom Connors are musical kings from my childhood. There is just too much great music and too many great musicians who have influenced me over my lifetime to list everyone of them here. Music is a language that communicates with me on many unspoken levels.

EQUIPMENT
My first keyboard (that is, the very first instrument I bought and paid for with my own hard-earned money) was the Yamaha DX-7 Synthesizer (now I'm dating myself as a young, 80's teenager). Later on I added to my outboard performing gear by purchasing a Roland KR-3000 fully weighted, 88-key Electronic Piano. While living and working in South Korea in the mid 2000's I purchased another Roland Electronic Piano. The price was amazing - it even cost less to have it shipped to Canada, along with all my other belongings when I returned in 2010, than if I had've purchased it here. So, basically, I have what I need to play decent gigs.
