ABOUT

Fully equipped and very experienced. I have a large, personal rehearsal space with modern PA system here in the city. I’ve previously taught and also played as a full time professional with several acts and artists coast-to-coast.

From small pubs to art galleries, theatres, corporate shows, hockey arenas, universities and both minor and major multi-day music festivals across Canada. I also work from time to time locally as a fill-in/ subbing drummer.

In general, I'm more interested in the music than the status of a band. I have a non-music daytime career so I’m not stacking up music jobs or anything crazy. Pretty much any band I’ve joined over many years I remained very committed to.

Not a studio drummer by trade, but I have recorded with several bands and artists at this point — most in the more distant past & have appeared on various albums/ CDs.

I typically get along very well with others. I'm a non-drinker, non-smoker, have reliable transportation, yada yada yada. Far, far from perfect, but always try to be a positive addition to any given musical situation I'm involved with.

Influences

Too many influences to list. Classic rock drummer at heart but also into lots of bands and artists from classic pop, AOR, jazz, hard rock, Latin styles, Reggae, 60s and 70s Soul & R&B, country, Celtic, and of course …all 1970s Yacht Rock!

My most enduring influences include bands like Zeppelin, Beatles, Alice Cooper, Stones, Steely Dan, Aerosmith, Rush, Heart, Fleetwood Mac, Genesis, The Police, Sting, Paul Simon, Van Halen, Toto …. & many more.

Influenced by great drummers such as Steve Gadd, Vinnie Colaiuta, John Bonham, Neil Peart, Max Roach, Jim Keltner, Jeff Porcaro, Matt Cameron, Keith Carlock, Alex Van Halen, Stewart Copeland, David Garibaldi, my amazing teachers over the years in Ontario ... and way too many others.
