***Looking for a bassist to join our original alternative rock band.***
Hi there,
I’m James. Myself, JP and Samy and I are seeking a bassist to join our original alternative rock band and this will complete our band. I sing lead on most of the songs, while JP does harmonies and takes the lead on some songs too. JP and I both play guitar and I play keys/synth. Samy plays drums and sings harmonies too.
I have 25+ years experience on the piano and 15 years experience with singing/songwriting and guitar; and I have played several hundred shows at bars and festivals.
JP is a very creative writer and great guitarist, and has been playing for over 15 years.
Samy is an advanced drummer; he is extremely tight and creates some amazing grooves and fills.
We cover a wide variety of genres and are looking for a bassist with that same vision. So: alternative rock, hard rock, indie rock, pop rock, some softer acoustic and piano tunes as well, no limits really (heavy guitar and drums, Muse-like keyboard riffs/arps and synths for some songs, but also softer vibes when it fits a given song).
We’re hoping to start gigging in Montreal by the end of the summer, or sooner.
We have a jam space but no bass amp. We meet once a week on Wednesday evenings (but can arrange to meet on other days if necessary).
