ABOUT

Howdy all !! My name is SeN, and I have been a musician for a really long time. I started off playing Hardcore Punk in Saskatoon where I grew up, but eventually I outgrew it. Mostly because it was always one guy that wrote the songs , and everyone had to follow him. After a while, it occurred to me that if you could keep the riffs in one or two, or even three keys, you could be jamming on these riffs, instead of just blindly following along . That line of thought led me down a path that I never thought that I would go down...COUNTRY ! Not cuz I like country, or cuz I wanted to play it! Its because you can break most Punk songs down into Country songs, and then you can do more with the songs, by doing more with the chords. Like arpeggios, hammer on/pull offs, bends, slides etc... This opened up my whole world [well , that, and discovering the Replacements]. So now I have this style that I play on guitar and drums that is a mix of Country / Bluegrass / SURF!! / all with the back bone of Punk-Rock. It has spirit, energy, style, content, and it is enough of a nod to traditional music, AND modern enough that most people get some kind of kick out of it. BUT! it is a hybrid style, and because of that, ppl get confused playing it, and it is hard to keep members in the band. The older fellas know the traditional stuff, the younger guys can play fast and put un a good stage show[and words like 'Punk' don't frighten them...lol] . However, BOTH elements are intrinsic to pulling off this style I have created. I AM A L A W A Y S LOOKING FOR A GOOD SURF DRUMMER !!!!

EQUIPMENT

I own a studio right by one of the train stops in greater Vancouver. I have everything you need in my studio to have a Rock band: drums, mics, P.A. , gitters , amps , bass and bass amps , keys and a bunch of other stuff too.
I only own hollow body gitters, and a lot of my gear is from the 60's
