Hello I'm Raws
I always loved to sing, everywhere and about everything. My first influences in music at the time were the tragically hip, the cult, Billy idol and bif naked. When I was 12 I saved enough money to split the cost of baby blue. My first guitar. That cheaper fender squier limited edition metallic shock blue acoustic from axe music. When I got to about 14 I finally picked it up and started learning basic chords but already at that point I started writing Tunes. At 15 I started taking lessons because at that time I was attending a home church and we had no music so asked if i could start taking lessons learning how to put chords to music. By the way I still have my old hymnal with all the chicken scratch. After a year of lessons from my instructor Ray Champagne out by Stony plain he offered me a gig at the blueberry Bluegrass Festival with him, of which I had to decline. I don't know exactly why but my father explained to him that mentally I was not able to do that now. Honestly my dad likes my music and he supports me 100% just I have my own issues I deal with. I didnt continue guitar lessons not long after that. I continued to play for church though during the years I lived with my parents. When I left home the real world hit me and as always life happens and you go with the flow. I used the ups and downs to write lyrics and compose songs but with having child young and other things I started opening more avenues for singing and put my guitar playing in the back burner. Learning to sing low and steady with control on my own. As life continued I got into the love for karaoke. Learning to sound like artist but put my unique flare on thing. At this point I was singing Amy Whitehouse, bif naked, pink, marlyin Manson, and more. When i met my husband and my eldest son moved back in with me. I knew that this was the man. Listen to white picket fence no joke that was his first Christmas present from me. Now that we have been married for a few year he and I discussed the dream I have of playing music and sharing my talent I have with the world. Shooting for the Stars with a family maybe hard but that's not what my music is intended for but to make people feel at that moment the pain happiness and joy that only emotional connection can bring out of sound. Simply put im a bard of many talents and my mission is to bring fulfillment to all that hear me.
