My name is Ray Alegria. I’m a musician residing in Vancouver, BC.
I started playing drums since age 12, and at 14, I went to drum lessons at the Mozart school in Tepic.
I’m passionate for playing drums, guitar, piano, composing and singing.
I have taken several singing courses and learnt to play acoustic guitar by myself.
When I was 20, I entered the Bachelor of Music of the Autonomous University of Nayarit, with principal subject in piano.
There, I learned piano technique, classical repertoire of piano, music theory, musical harmony, counterpoint, chamber music and electric guitar, among other subjects. I have been teaching piano since 2011.
First, the lessons were at a little music school, and later as a particular piano teacher. I’ve had several students, from kids and teenagers to grownups, at beginner or intermediate level.

In addition, I took several master classes with pianists such as Alain del Real, Isaac Nammé, Ulises Hernández, Andrés Sarré, Nika Jonicenoka, and a semester of piano with José Luis Gonzalez Moya in Guadalajara city.
I took a course in music production with Sebastian Jheiva, as well as composition lessons with teacher José Alcocer.
