ABOUT

Reneé was born in Kingston Jamaica and spent her formative years in Jamaica, Barbados and the Caymen Islands. At the age of 14, she immigrated to Canada. Music is and has always been her passion. She inherited her amazing voice from her mother who was a classically trained operatic singer. Her mother noticed her vocal talent at the very young age of 3, after which she quickly encouraged her to sin...g in the local churches and signed her up for classical vocal training. While Reneé has a strong background in classical and gospel music, she soon found herself in love with the vocal styles of Mariah Carey and Celine Dion and developed a more “pop” sound from trying to emulate their vocal technique. With her deep talent she won singing competitions all over the Cayman Islands and Jamaica.

Reneé is not only a phenomenal singer, but she writes all her music and vocally produces and arranges everything she puts her name to. "Musically, I am inspired by many people. I love the soulful sounds of Adele as well as the musical and songwriting styles of Jamaican artists like Damian Marley. One thing I appreciate about Damians’ music is that he tells you a story with his music. It's not just rhymes put to a beat, he takes you to a place in time and paints a vivid picture for you with his songs. That's something I try to adopt in my music".

The rare combination of Renee’s striking good looks, warm personality, deep musical talent and powerful voice is mesmerizing. Her hard work and natural talents all add up to raw star power. Renee has performed in many shows including the 2010 Jamaica Day festivities as well as an annual reggae fest, which also featured the artist Shaggy. She regularly receives critical acclaim and awards from her peers. In June 2010, she received the prestigious T.H.U.R annual award for using her musical talents to better her local community. In August, 2010 was showcased on the CBC radio talk show "All in a Day".

Renee continues to hone her craft and has been writing and producing a number of new songs that are sure to engage and entertain. She recently flew to California to work with Polo Jones, the musical director and base player for the Italian legend “Zucchero”, who has also worked with Randy Jackson, Carlos Santana, Brunce Springstein, Sting, Pavarotti to name a few.

If all of that is not enough, Renee has an extraordinary education, having obtained a B.Sc. in Biochemistry at 22 and a M.Sc. in Microbiology and Immunology at 25. Beautiful, personable, talented and smart. That all adds up to one word... Incomparable.
