I primarily play the banjo in the "old-time country" style (clawhammer) associated with square dances and Appalachian traditional music. (similar to the way Pete Seeger plays it)
I also dabble in the modern bluegrass style, a la Earl Scruggs, but generally prefer the clawhammer style.
I'm looking for some musicians to have some fun with. I feel that a sense of humour is a major element to any performance. (think Smothers Brothers)
More recently, I've started writing songs, when the inspiration strikes.

Most anybody who labels themselves a "string band" or "jug band".
My listening tastes, and thus inspiration, is very wide ranging. (like CKUA... except Mulligan's Stew!) From Iris DeMent to Daft Punk.
