Kanye- for his confidence, crossing boundaries from music into other artforms, bombastic sound & soul.
Kendrick Lamar- his storytelling and conceptual nature. Deep and profound ways of thinking. giving back to those he loves in meaningful insightful life changing ways from his own experience.
Jacob Collier- for his love of music knowledge and one of a kind approach to how you look at music theory. An inspiration to gain a very deep understanding of how music works.
Beethoven-Mainly his life story and how he went deaf and refused to let that impact his musical accomplishments, and a couple of his works, ex appassionata
Dermot Kennedy- an inspiration as a singer and a storyteller. His voice is so great and I love singing his songs. The raw emotion he puts in his music shows he has lived through everything. I strive for that.
j.cole- The words of wisdom he utters really do strike home. He helps cut through the bullsh*t and make you recognize what's really going on. He also talks from his own faults and failings. A good example of a rapper who leads by example.
Logic- his ability to craft aesthetics and narratives, worlds, dialogue, scenes etc... are a very inspirational thing to take from an artist who is a nerdy rapper who likes anime and is very introverted. Where his flow and sometimes repetitive lyrics fall short he makes up for with the rest in other very creative ways I find astonishing. His music is its own world. Especially UP, TITS, & EVERYBODY.
